Your Beauty First - Sponsored - Scholl Velvet Smooth Wet and Dry Rechargeable Foot File Review

Please note, I have received this product in exchange for an honest review or to simply try for free. For more information, please see Your Beauty First’s Terms and ConditionsAs this will be my second “sponsored” review, I feel I must provide clarity as well as security. There is nothing I love more than a freebie but I will not let gratitude influence my review. I always aim to deliver honesty in my reviews. In regards to “sponsored” reviews, the overall score will be based on the product’s performance only as I am unable to impartially measure its monetary value.

Prior to its launch, Scholl sent me their latest product, the Velvet Smooth Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File. Familiar with the brand, I am incredibly grateful for the gift. The tips and sides of my toes tend to become unbelievably rough as well as dry. It’s annoying and often returns hours after filing with a manual foot file. I used this rechargeable foot file once and a week later, the dead skin hasn’t returned. It was also very easy to file off, taking minutes.

So, will I recommend it? Let’s begin with the pros! This rechargeable device is cordless and will charge in only 3 hours (I have not yet put this to the test but this is Scholl’s guarantee). You are provided with a dual speed system, two options of how fast you wish to file. It is also waterproof. The size of the changer dock, cable and foot file enables easy transportation. It’s gentle but effective and can be used to file nails. Although I like the colour, Scholl should look in to offering a variety in the future.

Everything has a con, whether one or many. Creating an advantage for competitors, a second or alternative roller head is not included. You must buy this separately. The product’s USP (unique selling point) is its ability to be used wet or dry. Unfortunately, this rechargeable foot file is not as effective when used wet. This might be a personal preference but I felt my results were miles apart in each condition. The product is now available in Boots for £59.99 but I honestly wouldn’t spend that much on it. Overall, I can only recommend (especially if you plan to purchase it during a sale).
