Revisiting: Zac Posen (Fall 2012) RTW Collection

Simply the best, Zac Posen is my favourite fashion designer. He is consistent, never failing to deliver a phenomenal collection or a spectacular red carpet gown. His Fall 2012 RTW Collection is a great example of his unmatched talent and artistry. I have decided to revisit this particular show, as it is the collection that solidified my love for the fashion designer. It is also a great example of how simplicity can be exceptional. So, where does one start? Zac Posen’s Fall 2012 RTW Collection is undoubtedly Asian influenced, featuring kimono inspired belts and metallic floral embossed fabrics.

“…every outfit is an event!”

A RTW collection of statement pieces, every outfit is an event! Words can’t express how much I love the silhouettes and the abundance of textures. Zac Posen is an oddity amongst male fashion designers as he truly appreciates women; he has us at the forefront of his mind when designing. Although Asia is at the heart of this collection, the closing gowns are quite English or even French, very early Dior. The multiple influences meet to compliment each other and the result is a fierce elegance. The images below capture my favourite pieces from the unforgettable RTW collection.
