Palmer’s is a brand I trust. I have been using Palmer’s products for as long as I can remember. I have also been fighting hyperpigmentation. In my case, the discolouration (as well as scarring) tends to surface in the same area, my face and neck. My neck scars are incredibly stubborn; I have wasted too much money on products promising and failing to fade my tenacious blemishes. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Lotion was once my go to face cream but it is now too heavy for my increasingly oily face.
I decided to hunt for a hyperpigmentation remedy (as well as a new face cream), searching within Palmer’s wide range of products. I came across the brand’s Daily Calming Facial Lotion which has ingredients (Chamomile, Aloe Vera, etc.) known for combating discolouration as well as scarring. Purchased from Superdrug (100ml, £5.99), I am extremely impressed with this product as results are instant. Although marketed as a fragrance free lotion, it does have a scent. It is not strong and it smells great!
My favourite thing about this lotion is its consistency. It is creamy but surprisingly light. Your face will be left feeling moisturised without the greasy film; this is great for people with oily skin. Although it did not shift my neck scars, it has definitely tackled the discolouration on my face so I am pleased. I had nothing but high expectations and Palmer’s most definitely delivered! One of the things I love about Palmer’s is the consistent quality of their products. Anyone with oily skin should give Palmer’s Daily Calming Facial Lotion a try!
