It’s a new year as well as the perfect time for a new scent. A Christmas present purchased by myself for myself, Elie Saab‘s Le Parfum is my first post and review of the year, 2016! I discovered Le Parfum several months ago. A product junkie in rehabilitation, I fought the urge to purchase it on sight. As 2015 was an exasperating yet brilliant year, I decided I deserved it and bought it as a Christmas present for myself. There is no love like self-love!
An avid lover of freebies, I purchased the 50ml bottle (£37.61, from allbeauty.com) as it included a purse (which turned out to be faux leather, disappointed but not surprised). My love for perfumes goes beyond the scent, the bottle and branding all play a vital role. Elie Saab is a designer I associate with class and unstated sexiness. The fragrance is in line, it’s unapologetically feminine but also unique. The scent is refreshing; it’s light but long lasting and slightly sweet. It is definitely a perfume for spring and a must have for anyone over the ever so popular saccharine fragrances.
